NYP Adventure Club is organizing an expedition to Jerangkang Waterfall!

Upon completing this expedition, you may use it to fulfill your National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) expedition requirements. Training and briefing will be provided for those who have sign up.

Information about the Expedition
Date: 15 to 18 June 2009
Price: $80 (May use PSEA)
Venue: Jerangkang Waterfall, Kuantan, Malaysia

All participants are to make sure that their passport have at least 6 months validity before the expedition.

Vacancies are limited.

So hurry!

MUA Meeting cum Lesson

Hello everyone!

There will be a Make-Up Artiste lesson coming up.

Details
Date: 3rd June 2009
Time: 4pm to 6pm
Venue: E317

Please bring your own make-up brushes, cosmetics (eg. foundation, concealer, eye shadow, liquid eyeliner, mascara, blusher, lipstick, lipgloss) and facial wipes, if you have any.

This time, you are strongly encouraged. We will explain to you the reason why you are required to bring your own make-up products during the lesson.

This meeting is really important and it is compulsory for everyone to be present.

Moreover, the make-up lesson will be something really useful for your everyday's look and future use.

Yio Chu Kang National Day Observance Ceremony

AMK GRC has kindly requested NYP to send a contingent of about 80-100 supporters for the above-mentioned event.

All the supporters will get a free "Yiolympics and National Day Observance Ceremony" T-shirt.

The event is called, YIOLYMPICS cum 44th National Day Observance Ceremony. Its in support of Youth Olympic. Theme for Ceremony is "Healthy Lifestyle, Healthy Mind".

Date: 2 August 09 (Sunday)
Time: 4pm to 7pm
Venue: Yio Chu Kang Sports Stadium

Guest-of-Honour for the event is Mr Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister & MP for Ang Mo Kio GRC.

They are trying to involve the neighbouring schools too (e.g. Ang Mo Kio Secondary, Anderson JC, YCK Sec School). The parade contingent will be formed by the uniform groups from AMK Sec and maybe Yio Chu Kang Sec. It seems that it would be something like a mini national day parade.

The NYAA Council, NYAA Gold Award Holders' Alumni (GAHA), Tampines East YEC with the support of the National Environment Agency will be organising an Youth Eco-Fiesta 2009 to showcase the talents of Singaporean youth and to commemorate World Environment Day.

Venue: Tampines East Festival Park (Next to Blk 257, Tampines Street 21)

Guest-of-Honour for the Youth Eco-Fiesta is Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development and Co-Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Committee on Sustainable Development.

There will be a signage to inform you which way to enter. The signage will be to the left of the Theatre For the Arts, at the side where there is a elevator nearer to McDonalds.

The venue is applicable for the whole week.

Changes have been made on the time slots for NYP's Annual Graduation from 25 May to 29 May.

AM Session
Time to meet: 6.30am
Duration: 7am to 10.30am

PM Session
Time to meet: 11.30am
Duration: 12pm to 3.30pm

The BLUE time slots are applicable for 25 May (Monday), 27 May (Wednesday), 28 May (Thursday) and 29 May (Friday) only.

AM Session
Time to meet: 6.30am
Duration: 7am to 10.30am

PM Session
Time to meet: 2.30pm
Duration: 3pm to 5.30pm

The PURPLE time slots are applicable for 26 May (Tuesday) only.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Some of you girls are hesitating on whether to do the whole make-up for the AM Session. This event is an opportunity for you to be exposed to make-up artistry and a chance to get to know your team members better! :DD

As there are plenty of empty slots in the AM Sessions, we hope that you girls could come around to help out. Hopefully, you girls won't have to skip any lessons otherwise we're able to request an excuse letter for you! :DD

A little note for the PM Session: Anyone who is able to stay back after 3.30pm/5.30pm, please do as we have to clean up and pack up. Thanks! :DD

NYP's Annual Graduation event will be happening from 25 May to 29 May.

We'll be asking you girls during the subsequent intensive lessons on which of the days you think that you're able to make it.

Also, the reason of why we're asking for your timetables is so that we're able to plan and help you girls to not miss any lessons during the Annual Graduation week.

For your information, CCA points will be awarded and excuse letters will be provided.
