Since most of us are having common tests and projects all around, I regret to inform you that lessons will cease for the time being til after the holidays.

Thank you to those who have been attending lessons regularly and participating in the lessons so far, we deeply appreciate your time and effort...:))

Hey M.U.A babes....

So after another break from lesson last Wednesday because of Hari Raya Haji, we're back for another lesson as usual this Wednesday..!!!

This Wednesday 24th November 2010, we'll be having a lesson on.....

HENNA ART...:))

Its going to be the first time we're going to have a henna lesson so here are the things you guys will need for the lesson:

1) Prepared Henna Cone (You can just buy it at most Indian stores for less than 5 bucks)
2) Mehendi oil / Axe oil (optional)
3) Lots and lots of tissue :))
4) cotton buds / tooth picks (optional)

So, we'll be practising and learning to draw simple henna designs together..:))

Come down for lessons on Wednesday 24th Nov 2010 at 4pm and meet outside the clubroom..

After a fun and fruitful nail art lesson last week we're gonna move on with a new lesson tis week...

So for this week we'll be having a hairstyle session....

We're gonna learn BRIDAL HAIRSTYLES....

And also we can try any hairstyles that u guys wanna suggest during the lesson...

So bring down your combs and Hairpins (preferable bobby pins...) for this week...

Hey Make Up Artistes...

This Wednesday, 3rd November 2010, we'll be having our lesson as usual every wednesday...

This weeks' lesson is gonna be different from our usual make up lesson....
We're gonna be having a.....

"NAIL ART LESSON!!!"

So, for this week you can keep away your make up brushes and bring the following items:

1. Nail Polish (Any colour or your choice, it'd be good if you can get at least 2 different colours)
2. Nail Polish remover
3. Cotton Bud
4. Toothpick
5. Nail Clipper
6. Nail Files

All the items above are easily available at faceshop or those kind of neighbourhood stores that are quite cheap, no need to get expensive items...:)

A concern that i would like to raise would be attendance. Alot of you have not been attending the lesson ever since the beginning of the new semester. Maybe its because you didnt check the blog or facebook. Please REGULARLY check the blog and fb for updates... Do not only depend on SMSes then you would come.. Please have the liberty to check the blog and fb.. The attendance is poor and very upsetting.

So that's it for now, and do remember to come down for lesson THIS WEDNESDAY, 3RD NOVEMBER 2010, at 4PM, MEET OUTSIDE THE CLUBROOM.

Photoshoot...!!!

Hey make up artistes...!!!!!!!!

Welcome back to the new semester... :))
Well as you have known, we havent had a lesson since the semester started....
So to kick start our M.U.A semester, we are going to have our very own....
MAKE UP ARTISTES PHOTOSHOOT SESSION....!!

So, basically during this photoshoot you guys can choose to bring your own models to do the make up on or you guys can just do it on yourselves...
This photoshoot will act as a recap session for you guys base on what you've learn in the previous semester...
So, the theme of the photoshoot will be "FEMININE"....

You guys will need to wear your own maxi dress, if you don't have one you guys can come in skirt or something feminine looking... (PS: Feminine looking not = sexy looking)

You will be given 2 hours to do your make up and the photoshoot will take about 1 and a half hours only... :)) This session is for us to have fun and for you guys to grow your very own make up artistes portfolio...

The details for the Photoshoot are as follows:

Date: 30th October 2010, Saturday

Time: 8am - 12pm (centralised air con system shuts all the air con at 12 pm on weekends)

Venue: Make up will be done in the clubroom itself
Photoshoot will take place at school garden

Hi everyone!

It's back to school with the second Semester. The Make Up Artiste Team are hoping that all of you are still looking forward to MUA lessons and activites.

Many apologies for the last minute announcement that there'll be no MUA lesson this week (20th Oct 2010) as committee will be holding a meeting for the upcoming PHOTOSHOOT!

To start out a brand new semester for all of you to look forward to, we'll be organising a Photoshoot mainly to allow you to gain experience in makeup artistry and hairstyling, as well as to apply your skills and techniques. The Photoshoot will most probably be held on the 2nd or 3rd week.

Details will be posted here and our MUA Facebook wall by this week. So, please do check the blog and the FB wall by end of the weekends!

Just in case for some of you who are still interested to join MUA but happen not able to make it last Wednesday due to unforseen circumstances. We need your full particulars LATEST by this Wednesday, 28th July 2010. We need to know if you are still interested to continue your CCA with MUA. Do leave us a message here or at the Facebook. This also goes the same to all the seniors.

Please take note that if we do not receive any news from you by the above mentioned date, your name will be strike off from the active list & you will not receive any CCA points.

As stated in the previous post, our next lesson will resume in early semester 2 as we do not have enough manpower. ANNOUNCEMENTS

There is no Make-Up Artiste lesson on this Wednesday, 21^st July 2010 onwards due to short of manpower. However, you are required to come to clubroom and submit your particulars at the clubroom (E.420) to the seniors available, on Wednesday, 21^st July 2010 from 3-5pm.

2. FLC Musical

The makeup we will be required to do is mainly basic makeup for external people, such as the volunteers from People's Association. We are required to come only on 9th and 10th July 2010.

3. SBM Workshops
(for seniors and committee members who are in 2nd & 3rd year in MUA)

These workshops will be instructed mainly by Hidayah and Fara.
However, more instructors are required to assist them to help our the students during their hands-on session. The following are the list of confirmed instructors and helpers for each session. It would be nice if there are more helpers. CCA points will be given, however the lecturer-in- charge is unable to provide excuse letters.

Workshop #1 & #3 for 6 1st-year classes
Day/Date: Wednesdays, 14th & 21st July 2010

Workshop #2 & #4 for 4 2nd-year classes

4. JYOF (Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame)

SAO has announced that all of the CCAs groups are to participate in the JYOF. This event is to cheer for our fellow NYPians who will be passing the Olympic torch at NYP, the 1st venue once the torch landed on Singapore! so, be honoured! :)

MUA is required to gather 30 volunteers to be the motivators and flashmobbers.
Please take note that there'll be trainings on every Tuesdays and Fridays in July for the flashmobbers. The role will be determined by SAO.
The trainings are compulsory to ensure preparedness. We hope that many of you could volunteer yourself by this Friday night latest 9pm (2nd July) as the committee members would have to resort to picking randomly if volunteers form MUA does not reach the number required.

SAO will decide whether we will be the motivator or flashmobber. There's something extra! They are searching for 30 volunteers who would like to be the motivator leader and being a motivator leader, you'll attend leadership trainings/workshops by COCA-COLA! :)

Please, please RSVP Hidayah, Fara or Syafiqah asap via sms so that the list for your particulars will be provided. The deadline for the submission of the names of the volunteers is 2nd July 2010.

Please cooperate that if you are really interested, pls RSVP immediately and spread the message to other MUA friends.

UPDATES ON INTERVIEW

First up is for the interviewee.
Our notice board is located near koufu area. Pls check for ur scheduled day to be interviewed. Timing will be on 1600hrs to 1800hrs (exceptional on wed -starts on 1400hrs). The selected members will also be informed via the notice board or blog.

Secondly is for the interviewers.
Tues 27th - 1600hrs to 1800
Wed 28th - 1400hrs to 1600hrs & 1600hrs to 1800hrs
Thurs 29th - 1400hrs to 1800hrs
Fri 30th - 1700hrs to 1900hrs (for new members selection)
at clubroom E.420 (except for wed 1600hrs to 1800hrs at E.314 )

Important Announcements (Musical Helpers Only)

Hi everyone.

*Be sure to let Hidayah know your admin number and school, if you have not do so.

**This Musical is a major event and ur full commitment is required. It is known that you are to help out for both days of the Musical (5th and 6th Feb). Timings are to be confirmed as the days draw closer.

***It'll be a whole day event for both days. I believe dinner will be provided (Not sure abt lunch though) and excuse letters will be provided to all. Once they are ready, you'll be immediately informed for collection.

****There'll be 2 makeup workshops that I make them COMPULSORY to attend (exception to only valid reasons). I apologise for this urgency but it's for the sake of the Musical and the performers.

2. Next Friday (29 Jan 2010) - time and venue are to be confirmed

*****There'll be 2 full-dress rehearsals as part of a revision and to finalise the makeup for all performers. Please attend. Excuse letters will be provided for these as well for the convenience of everyone.

Please take note that there'll be no lesson for today and the following weeks, unless stated.
We'll be focusing on the Broadway Musical events for now.

Below is the current list of MUA helpers for Broadway Musical event on 5th & 6th Feb 09:

So far, this is the names of whom have informed me and that I've remembered that they're going help out. But, we need more helpers, if possible. We're aiming 18-23 helpers!

This is a huge event and a great experience that you should not miss! Through this event, we can bond among MUA members and the performers.

So, please SMS Huda (2nd year), Hidayah, Siti or Diana if you would like to help out ASAP! It's a whole-day event for both days (timings to be confirmed). Excuse letters for Fri will be given only if requested. Thanks!
